ONE YEAR AGO. On Feb. 7, 2023, MinistryWatch reported that The King’s College in New York City announced it was experiencing a “funding shortfall of approximately $2.6 million for the spring semester, due primarily to the timing of pending income.” In August, the school laid off its faculty and offered no courses. On Feb. 10, 2020, MinistryWatch reported that the Acts 29 church planting network removed Steven Timmis as its president following accusations of spiritual abuse brought by 15 staff members.
