MinistryWatch 1000 Database: Top 50 Christian Evangelism and Discipleship Ministries

List represents $5 billion in revenue for the 285 ministries in these categories.

Below is a list of the 50 largest evangelism and discipleship ministries by total revenue, according to the MinistryWatch database as of Sept. 29, 2026.

Please note that MinistryWatch does not have a single “Evangelism and Discipleship” category in its database, so we have aggregated several categories — evangelism, evangelism support, fellowship evangelism, Christian growth and leadership training — to include as many ministries as possible that engage in evangelism and discipleship work.

There are 285 ministries in the MinistryWatch 1000 database that fall into one of these five categories, up from 250 last year. Together, these ministries’ annual revenue totals more than $5.1 billion.

A few highlights from this year’s list:

• Cru ranks at the top, as it has since we began publishing this list, with $704 million in revenue, up from $677 million last year.
• Young Life holds the No. 2 spot and continues to grow, increasing revenue from $505 million to $556 million.
• YouVersion takes third place with nearly $333 million in annual revenue. That figure comes from the ECFA profile of its parent organization, Life.Church.
• The Fellowship of Christian Athletes dropped from third to fourth largest, with $262 million in annual revenue.
• Two other newcomers to the top 10 are Cook Media Global (formerly David C. Cook) and the Museum of the Bible.
• Seven of the top 10 ministries on this list do not file a Form 990 with the Internal Revenue Service. MinistryWatch’s position is that all Christian ministries that appeal to the public for funds should file a Form 990. You can read more about our position here.
• Last year, the 50^thlargest ministry on the list had about $15.6 million in revenue. This year, the smallest ministry on the list, Luis Palau Evangelistic Association, has about $18.1 million in revenue.
• This year’s list includes six ministries that were not on the list in 2025: YouVersion (No. 6), Reformed University Fellowship (No. 16), United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia (No. 20), Child Evangelism Fellowship (No. 43), Bethel Music (No. 45) and Aspire Network (No. 48).
• Alpha USA rose from 48 on the 2025 list to No. 34 this year. Its annual revenue grew by $13 million to $28.9 million.
• Andrew Wommack Ministries fell from eighth place last year to No. 19 this year. However, it is difficult to gather an accurate revenue figure because the ministry does not file a Form 990, is not a member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA), and does not post its audited financial statement on its website. In June 2025, Wommack posted a message on the website indicating the ministry’s revenue was down $6 million.

MinistryWatch gathered revenue data for ministries that don’t file a Form 990 by checking their ECFA profiles or other annual reports and statements. Those ministries are denoted by an asterisk.
