Below is a list of the 50 largest evangelism and discipleship ministries by total revenue, according to the MinistryWatch database as of September 29, 2025.

Please note that we do not have a single “Evangelism and Discipleship” category in the MinistryWatch database, so we have aggregated a number of categories — evangelism, evangelism support, fellowship evangelism, Christian growth, and leadership training — to include as many ministries as possible that engage in evangelism and discipleship work.

There are 250 total ministries in the MinistryWatch 1000 database that fall into one of these five categories. All together, these ministries’ revenue totals over $4.5 billion.

We have also included last year’s ranking. (To see last year’s complete list, click here.)

A few highlights from this year’s list:

Cru ranks at the top, as it has since we began publishing this list, with $677 million in revenue, down about $23 million from last year’s revenue of $700 million.

In the second spot, Young Life continues to grow, increasing in revenue from $491 million to $505 million.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the third largest ministry, increased by $40 million to $260 million.

Two ministries in the top 10 by revenue last year have fallen down the list: Answers in Genesis moved from #9 last year to #17 this year and Museum of the Bible fell from #10 to #13.

Andrew Wommack Ministries jumped from #15 last year to #7 this year, reporting $110 million in total revenue.

Andrew Wommack is one of six in the top 10 that no longer files an informational Form 990 with the Internal Revenue Service. MinistryWatch found the revenue totals for these and other ministries, denoted by an asterisk, from the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability or the ministry’s website. MinistryWatch’s position is that all Christian ministries that appeal to the public for funds should file a Form 990. You can read more about our position here.

Last year, the 50th largest ministry on the list had about $14.2 million in revenue. This year, the smallest ministry on the list, Global Leadership Network, has about $15.6 million in revenue.

This year’s list has 10 ministries that were not on the list in 2024. They are Lifewise Academy (20), GenFi Ministries (21), Operation Mobilization (23), Novo Mission (29), Fellowship of Israel Related Ministries (37), Mesa Global (38), Christian Aid Mission (41), Alpha USA (48), The Scott Dawson Evangelistic Association (49), and Global Leadership Network (50).

That means, of course, a like number of ministries fell off the list. They include Child Evangelism Fellowship, Upward Sports, Youth for Christ, Christ for All Nations, Haggai International, Revival Today, Community Bible Study, International Students, Cadence International, and Mission Arlington.

Mission Aviation Fellowship is no longer on this list because it as been moved to a new category — mission aviation.
