Avatar photo

Summary:

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) incorporated in 1954, in Oklahoma to lead every coach, athlete and all whom they influence into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.  In 1956, FCA was moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where it continues to be based.  FCA considers itself as a “church” and as such has a letter dated December 24, 2014 from the IRS acknowledging it as such; however, FCA has chosen to voluntarily file IRS Form 990s out of a desire to foster transparency and accountability, even though it legally does not have to do so.  FCA reach spans across the professional, college, high school, junior high and youth levels.  With a staff of more than 2,400, FCA develops programs and resources that minister to and through coaches, on campuses of all sizes in local communities across the world.  The aim of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes is to cultivate Christian principles by engaging, equipping and empowering coaches and athletes to know and grow in Christ and lead others to do the same.
