Evansdale Hope Church of the Nazarene, a small church in Iowa with just over 30 members, held their second annual Bless Evansdale Day. More than 600 residents from the community—twice as many as the year prior—gathered at tables set up outside the church to receive free school supplies, clothes, haircuts, and food.

Convoy of Hope deployed trucks with thousands of pounds of relief supplies to Florida as Hurricane Ian began pummeling the state with an 18-foot storm surge and winds in excess of 150 miles. The disaster relief organization is setting up points of distribution at various Assembly of God churches and expects to remain in Florida for weeks. Convoy of Hope has four stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 68.

Ex-firefighter Raul Chapa volunteers with Youth For Christ in San Antonio. He became a licensed counselor and offers counseling pro-bono for YFC staff and volunteers once a week. YFC is to spread the Gospel to local youth through meaningful relationships. Youth For Christ USA has three stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 90.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes is preparing for its annual Fields of Faith event October 12. The student-led gatherings are hosted at various athletic fields across the country and include prayer, Scripture reading, and testimonies. FCA has four stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 90.

UnfoldingWord has partnered with the Door43 World Mission Community to train church planters to translate a set of Bible stories in the “heart” language of unreached people groups. The set of 50 stories, called Open Bible Stories, introduces people to the overall narrative of Scripture, the organization says. UnfoldingWord has four stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 100.
