Single Moms Raising Sons, middle school spring break missions, Cru names new president

Lifesong for Orphans has served over 1,000 orphaned and vulnerable children each day in Poland since opening two new Day Centers. The ministry is also focusing on equipping caregivers in Ukraine and Poland to care for vulnerable children, including staff, volunteers, foster and adoptive families. One grandmother has received guidance, resources, and mentorship after taking in her three grandchildren after their parents died in the Russia/Ukraine war. Lifesong has 4 stars, and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 100.

A group from the U.S. traveled to South Africa in May to support staff of Christian World Outreach who ministers to single moms and their sons (called Single Moms Raising Sons) through Bible studies and bi-annual discipleship camps.

In March, 230 middle school students from Bayside Granite Bay in California served at Redwood Gospel Mission (RGM) for their spring break mission trip. The students handed out blessing bags and prayer to people on the streets and completed service projects, such as detailing a fleet of RGM vehicles, performing landscaping projects, working in the thrift store, and more. RGM has 5 stars, an “A” transparency grade, and a donor confidence score of 100 in the MinistryWatch database—the highest rating in each category.

Campus Crusade for Christ International/Cru has named its new president, David Robbins. Robbins, who will begin in his new post in July, has more than two decades of experience with Cru, most recently as CEO of FamilyLife, a ministry of Cru focused on family discipleship. Robbins will be the fourth president, succeeding Steve Sellers. Cru has 3 stars and a “C” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 73.
