On September 1, Dallas Life celebrated the graduation of three men from its Homeless No More recovery program. Ninety percent of graduates don’t return to homelessness, according to the ministry. Dallas Life, the largest homeless shelter in North Texas, also houses up to 500 people per night, including families and single parents with their children. Dallas Life has five stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 90.

Mission for Hope founder Leighton O’Connor is traveling 30,000 miles through the U.S. and up into Canada in his Jeep for 300 consecutive days sharing the Gospel and raising awareness for the plight of the homeless. O’Connor is distributing blankets, Bibles, hygiene kits, and socks in at least 50 pre-planned stops in partnership with churches.

Kenyan woman Flora Mwikali founded New Scent to restore dignity to children who are victims of sexual violence. Her children’s home and rescue center, New Scent Centre, is now home to 70 children between ages 3 and 20. Mwikali hopes to also start a school and recovery program.

The Institute for Creation Research celebrated the milestone of 10,000 subscribers on its YouTube channel. ICR facilitates and distributes scientific research of evidence “refut[ing] evolutionary philosophy and confirm[ing] the Bible’s account of a recent and special creation.” ICR has three stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 95.
