Ministries Making a Difference

The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) deployed a team of crisis-trained chaplains to Rockingham County, North Carolina, after a tornado ripped through the area earlier this month. The chaplains will provide emotional and spiritual care to those impacted by the storm, serving alongside the disaster relief organization Samaritan’s Purse. BGEA has three stars and a “C” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 40.

With the future of Roe v. Wade teetering and pro-life ministries positioning themselves to support mothers with unplanned pregnancies, Youth For Christ (YFC) continues its Parent Life ministry to expectant and parenting teens and their children. Caring adults develop relationships with teens, empowering them to continue their education and become disciples of Christ through mentorship. YFC USA has three stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 90.

Robert and Vickie Koch, who work with Church Mobilization, an Assemblies of God ministry, have been offering practical, short-term relief to small-church pastors countrywide by filling in as interims during sabbaticals, babysitting, housesitting, performing church repairs, and conducting pastoral care.

Nazarene Missions International of the Dutch District raised enough money amongst its churches in three weeks to purchase and fill a van with relief supplies to be driven and handed over on April 12 to a pastor in Ukraine. Nazarene Compassionate Ministries (NCM) has teams on the ground along the Ukrainian border, offering emergency support such as transportation, shelter, food, and water, and distributing crisis care kits. NCM has five stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 90.
