Summary:
Four Corners Home for Children (FCHC) began in 1953 with a children’s home in New Mexico to care for disadvantaged Navajo children. FCHC provides foster home care to Navajo children in facilities owned and operated by it. FCHC helps children who have experienced abuse and neglect. Two large homes are designated for extended care, providing a home for children needing a place to live for up to two years or longer until they can be restored to their natural family. Certified counselors work with the children in a play therapy room located on the property. In addition, FCHC program “Navajo Nation Outreach” provides outreach to the Navajo population living in and outside of the Navajo Nation. And it operates a radio outreach through radio station KNMI. And since 2018, FCHC operates an after-school program to benefit the children in its program. Four Corners Home for Children aims to restore families with a strong confidence in applying Christian values.
