Samaritan’s Purse Avoids Foreign Aid Freeze, Financial Troubles at The King’s College

ONE YEAR AGO: On Feb. 5, 2025, MinistryWatch reported that Samaritan’s Purse had avoided the impact of President Donald Trump’s foreign aid freeze because of a waiver for life-saving essential aid such as food and medicine. Read more here.

THREE YEARS AGO:  On Feb. 7, 2023, MinistryWatch reported that The King’s College in New York City announced it was experiencing a “funding shortfall of approximately $2.6 million for the spring semester, due primarily to the timing of pending income.” In August, the school laid off its faculty and offered no courses. In January 2025, the school launched a “go-forward plan” in hopes of reopening. Read more here.
