Case against Jeriah Mast, accused of abusing Haitian minors, will proceed.
A federal judge in Ohio has rejected an attempt by former Christian Aid Ministries worker Jeriah Mast to dismiss charges accusing him of sexually abusing Haitian minors. The case will now proceed in federal court.
Jeriah Mast was formerly sentenced for child abuse in Ohio.
A former worker with Christian Aid Ministries was recently indicted by a federal grand jury for engaging in illicit sexual activity with minors while in Haiti.
A notorious Haitian gang known for brazen kidnappings and killings was accused by police Sunday of abducting 17 missionaries from a U.S.-based organization. Five children were believed to be among those kidnapped, including a 2-year-old.
