ONE YEAR AGO: On October 29, 2024, MinistryWatch reported about the 20th anniversary of Godly Response to Abuse in the Christian Environment (GRACE). It was founded in 2004 by attorney and sexual abuse advocate Boz Tchividjian to equip faith communities to recognize, prevent, and respond to abuse more effectively. Read more here.
TWO YEARS AGO: On November 1, 2023, MinistryWatch reported that the country’s largest Christian university, Grand Canyon University, was being fined $37.7 million by the federal government amid accusations that it misled students about the cost of its graduate programs. In May 2025, the U.S. Department of Education rescinded the fine. Read more here.
THREE YEARS AGO: On October 26, 2022, MinistryWatch reported that the Scottish venue that canceled an evangelistic event by Franklin Graham and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association would pay more than $100,000 for violating the UK’s Equality Act. BGEA used the proceeds to establish a legal fund to fight for religious freedom in the UK and Europe. Read more here.
