ONE YEAR AGO: On June 18, 2024, MinistryWatch reported about public allegations by Cindy Clemishire that Gateway Church founder Robert Morris had sexually abused her in the 1980s starting when she was just 12 years old. The Gateway elders said they accepted Morris’ resignation. The two are now engaged in a legal battle over retirement benefits. Read more here.
TWO YEARS AGO: On June 14, 2023, MinistryWatch reported that the artificial intelligence arm of Facebook parent company Meta has turned to widely translated religious texts like the Bible to provide data for its Massively Multilingual Speech (MMS) project, which aims to expand text-to-speech and speech-to-text technology to underserved languages.
