MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT: Wycliffe Associates

Avatar photo

Summary: Wycliffe Associates began in 1967 to accelerate the work of Bible translation around the world. The ministry mobilizes volunteers to involve people in the advancement of Bible translation worldwide through programs of prayer, financial stewardship, technology, training, logistics, networking, discipleship, church planting, and volunteer service.

Its efforts to engage volunteers is significant. During 2022, its financial auditors estimated the value of the volunteers, if they were paid, would have been about $17 million. In addition to this, Wycliffe Associates collaborates with churches and church groups worldwide. Those volunteers multiply the amount of work further as Wycliffe Associates has no controlling relationship to those church groups, but facilitates by supporting and guiding.

The aim of Wycliffe Associates is to see every verse of God’s Word translated into every tongue to speak to every heart.
