California Southern Baptist Disaster Relief (SBDR) has been making and distributing about 300 meals a day to first
responders of the historic California fires since Wednesday, January 15, thanks to the help of volunteers from California and
neighboring states. Send Relief, a global compassion ministry of the SBC, has been providing funds for SBDR relief, including money to put together crisis response buckets for survivors. Send Relief also shipped Tyvek suits, N95 masks, and gloves for when cleanup begins, according to Baptist Press.

SaveOne is celebrating 25 years of providing a safe space for men and women to heal from the trauma of past abortions. Founded in 2000, the ministry has grown to 300 chapters hosted by pregnancy centers or churches who teach Bible studies for both men and women, including “A Guide to Emotional Healing After Abortion, The Men’s Study,” and “The Ripple Effect” for families and friends.

Christianity Today has been given $5 million to invest in the development of next-generation Christian storytellers. The grant was awarded by Lilly Endowment’s National Storytelling Initiative on Christian Faith and Life, and will help fund CT’s Next Generation Storytelling Project through 2028. The project, part of its One Kingdom Campaign, will focus on equipping young storytellers and expanding into new media.

Youth Unlimited Gospel Outreach (“YUGO”) Ministries has already hosted its first short-term missions team of 2025. Members of NorthPark Community Church in Santa Clarita, California, helped construct a home for a family in Mexico. YUGO Ministries hosts short-term missions teams from North America to minister in Mexico, and then connects Mexicans who come to Christ as a result of those efforts with discipleship through its local church-planting efforts. YUGO Ministries has 5 stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 95.
