Family Legacy Missions, First Love International, Nashville Rescue Mission, Samaritan’s Purse

In partnership with Ng’ombe Needs Care Centre and Sew Powerful, Family Legacy Missions distributed sanitary kits and gospel literature at Twashuka Secondary School, a government school in Kenya, where over 50 students sponsored through Family Legacy are enrolled. Family Legacy Missions has 3 stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 87.

In April, Paul and Margie Varberg, missionaries with First Love International, took 22 7th graders in the Philippines on a five-day “Outdoor Education” field trip. During the trip, “they visited and had lectures on rainforests, cattle ranching, pineapple farming, sugar cane farming, cacao farming, a fertilizer factory, a copper smelting plant, a geothermal power plant, a sugar cane mill, a coral reef, an agricultural university, and a mangrove island.” Eight of the students also professed a personal faith in Christ on the trip. In the past year, Nashville Rescue Mission has shared thousands of necessary items with people in their community experiencing homelessness and hunger, including 19,552 pairs of underwear and socks, 11,002 baby items, 91,035 hygiene items, and 88,200 bottles of clean water. Nashville Rescue Mission has 4 stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 90.

Samaritan’s Purse deployed a tractor trailer stocked with tools and equipment Wednesday (May 22) to Iowa after a deadly storm with tornadoes, large hail and heavy rain swept across the state earlier in the week. Volunteers will also help tarp roofs, clear debris, and provide other necessary support to storm victims. In the MinistryWatch database, Samaritan’s Purse has 2 stars, an “A” transparency grade, and a donor confidence score of 56.
