In 2023, an 11-year-old girl felt led to provide clothes and shoes to children in foster care. Her initiative, Halle’s Heroes, raised $3,600 by setting out buckets at the end of each service at her local church for attenders to drop money into. Halle is daughter of Eric Porter, CEO of Backyard Orphans, a ministry that focuses on caring for children in the U.S. foster system.
Unknown Nations has partnered with other ministries to establish the Alliance for the Unreached, which is observing The International Day for the Unreached on May 19. The initiative, intended to spark awareness and action to provide unreached people groups with access to the Gospel, is kicking off with a special radio broadcast May 11, followed by a three-day webcast “Gateway to the Unreached.” Unknown Nations has 2 stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 82.
