Last week, City Mission of Schenectady in New York cut the ribbon on its new Ambassadors Headquarters in downtown Schenectady. The building is part of City Mission’s Ambassadors 2.0 Program, where ambassadors—who have received help from City Mission themselves—work directly with people in need within the community, providing them with clothing, food, blankets, and more. The headquarters will serve as a “place of refuge” where individuals can be served with coffee, conversation, and resources. City Mission of Schenectady has 4 stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a “Give With Confidence” donor confidence score of 100.

Ron Hutchcraft Ministries celebrated the dedication of its brand new On Eagles Wings Leadership Center this past weekend in Harrison, Arkansas. The discipleship center will host Native American believers in a gap year program, preparing them to minister to their own people, who are often struggling with loss, addiction, violence, and other tragedies, according to Ron Hutchcraft. Ron Hutchcraft Ministries has 2 stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a “Give With Confidence” donor confidence score of 75.

Last month, Bundaberg Church of the Nazarene in Australia hosted its monthly “Clothes Basket.” Almost 350 people came to “shop” for clothes that were then given to them free of charge. The church launched its first clothes basket 18 months ago in response to the housing crisis and cost-of-living increase in the community—only 12 “shoppers” came. Since then, the event has grown so much that the church has received grants and donations to further support the endeavor.

In April, Christian Community Action (CCA) in Texas placed its 70th family through its Rapid Rehousing program. CCA also serves its neighbors through financial planning, job skills training, ESL classes, a summer feeding program for at-risk youth, and urgent needs, such as rental and utilities assistance. CCA has 3 stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a “Give With Confidence” donor confidence score of 87.
