On Friday (Jan. 26,), following a unanimous vote by the board, Charlotte Rescue Mission announced its next President and CEO will be Trina Fullard. Fullard has worked as CRM’s chief program officer for the past three years, and will replace current President/CEO Tony Marciano, who is slated to retire in June 2024. CRM has 3 stars and a “C” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 69.

Last week, a Tennessee church gave away 10 cars to single mothers and young adults aging out of foster care. Church of the City in Nashville began its CARS ministry several years ago, and since that time has received over 400 cars that it inspected and repaired to give to people in need.

Filter of Hope recently hosted a missions trip for 31 fathers and sons, who installed 50 water filters in Cuba. Those filters provide instant clean water of up to 250 gallons a day for 10 years to impoverished homes. Filter of Hope earned MinistryWatch’s 2023 Shining Light award with five stars, an “A” transparency grade, and a donor confidence score of 100.
