Groups of evangelicals venture to Israel in show of solidarity
Participants in a mission organized by the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem heard eyewitness testimony from massacre victims and some of the relatives of the 136 Israelis still being held captive.
Theological ties to Israel have been accompanied by fundraising and other material support for Israeli municipalities, NGOs and first responders.
The incidents have been organized by extremist groups who consider Christians to be enemies of the Jewish people.
As anti-Christian incidents perpetrated by religious Jewish extremists have increased in number during the past several months, church leaders are pleading with government officials to take the matter more seriously.
