A bill to stop the use of nondisclosure agreements (NDA) to prevent sexual abuse victims from telling their stories has advanced in the Texas legislature.
The agreements remain controversial, and movements to end their use are growing.
The use of NDAs has become more controversial in recent years, especially in light of the #metoo and #churchtoo movements that brought to light sexual abuse and the use of NDAs to silence victims.
In a letter to donors, John and Darlene Ankerberg expressed “disappointment in the recent actions” of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability to terminate the membership of the Ankerberg Theological Research Institute.
