San Francisco Area Pastor Arrested on Child Sexual Abuse Charges
A San Francisco Bay area pastor has been arrested on charges that he had inappropriate contact with multiple children, and police say they believe there may be additional victims.
Morgan Hill Police arrested Carlos Ramos Castrejon, 65, of Hollister, California, Oct. 26 following an investigation and charged him with 13 counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 and two counts of committing a lewd act by use of force on a child under the age of 14.
Castrejon is pastor of Ministerios Generacion Josue.
“Spiritual leaders in our community hold an incredible amount of trust. And this person took advantage of that trust, and preyed on already vulnerable victims, children,” Santa Clara County Deputy District Attorney Marina Mankaryous told Bay Area Fox affiliate KTVU-TV.
Castrejon was transported to the Santa Clara County Main Jail and booked into their custody.
The details of the investigation were forwarded to the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
Morgan Hill police detectives said they believe there may be more victims who have yet to come forward and called the investigation “ongoing.” They encouraged anyone with further information about the case to contact them.
