More sex crime charges have been brought against a Durham, North Carolina, pastor and teacher, bringing the total to 19.

David Keandre Dixon, 37, was charged earlier this month with four counts of sexual offense with a child under the age of 15 and one count of indecent liberties with a child, WRAL News reported. The 14 new charges were filed in Wake County.

Court documents showed that the 13-year-old victim was a student at the Community School of Digital and Visual Arts, a public charter school in Durham, where he was a substitute teacher for a fifth grade class.

Dixon, who goes by the title bishop at his church, is pastor of Kingdom City Life Empowerment church in Durham, which is part of the Victory Christian International Fellowship of Churches.

In a statement published Dec. 1 on Facebook, Mario L. Davis, the Fellowship’s presiding bishop and chairman and self-proclaimed apostle, said that Bishop Dixon has been removed from all official church duties due to the ongoing legal matter.

A school spokesperson said Dixon was terminated when the school learned of the allegations, and that none of the incidents happened at the school. Police said at least some of the assaults happened at Dixon’s Raleigh apartment and happened in September and October. Dixon worked at the school from September to November.

He is being held on a $1 million bond, which a judge reduced from $10 million because Dixon has no criminal history.
