“On March 11, 2024, during an ongoing sex offender / human trafficking investigation, deputies from the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office arrested Frank Mark Johnson,” said the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office in a statement.

Johnson, pastor of Hands and Feet Fellowship in Gastonia, was also employed at Community Christian Academy in Dallas, North Carolina, as a middle school science teacher and hosted a school sponsored podcast called “Our Morning Take.” The school placed Johnson on administrative leave upon news of his arrest.

Parents in the community expressed shocked at the news. One mother told WSOC, “You can’t trust anybody in this world but you would expect to be able to kind of trust somebody like that. We expected them to be held to a higher standard especially with it being a Christian school.”

Johnson told WSOC this charge has ruined his life. He was released on a $1,500 bond on the same night as his arrest. A court date is forthcoming.
