MINISTRY SPOTLIGHT: Hope Center Ministries

Avatar photo

Hope Center Ministries began in 2007 to help both men and women struggling with drug and alcohol addiction find freedom and purpose with a new life in Jesus.

The core of Hope Center Ministries is a one-year program at one of its 46 locations around the United States. It is not a detox service, but admissions coordinators do provide references for such services.

The ministry’s goal is not just to help people get sober, but to find a better future following graduation, including family restoration. The one-year program is broken up into three phases:

  1. The first phase is 6 weeks and involves many routines and habits to build on, such as recovery counseling, personal and spiritual development activities, and daily chores.
  2. The second phase is 38 weeks and builds on the foundational habits with vocational and life-skills training for 40 hours a week.
  3. The third phase is 8 weeks and advances into more freedom to bridge past graduation, with phone and vehicle privileges and training with financial stewardship.

Donors provide scholarships to residents unable to pay the full $700 admissions fee.

One of the ministry’s core values is to “have fun, laugh hard, and embrace adventure.” As such, it provides gym memberships, hosts a “Saturday Fun Day” with things like “lake-day,” paintball, and skydiving. It also facilitates visits to mountains, lakes, beaches and sets up a “snack shack” at each location.

The aim of Hope Center Ministries is to help people struggling with alcohol and drug addiction through new life in Jesus.
