Ministry Spotlight: Faith & Freedom Coalition

Political advocacy organization holds a 2-star Financial Efficiency Rating

Faith & Freedom Coalition maintains a low overall MinistryWatch score. With only a 2-star Financial Efficiency Rating, the organization also earns a D-rating for transparency, due largely to its lack of audited financial statements and membership with the ECFA. Its donor confidence score is 33 out of 100—a withhold giving designation.

MinistryWatch made multiple attempts to contact Faith & Freedom Coalition. It did not respond.

Faith & Freedom Coalition (FAFC) says the greatness of America lies not in the federal government but in the character of its people — the simple virtues of faith, hard work, marriage, family, personal responsibility, and helping the least among us.

From the FAFC website: “If we lose sight of these values, America will cease to be great.”

FAFC is committed to educating, equipping, and mobilizing people of faith and like-minded individuals to be effective citizens. Together, it hopes to influence public policy and enact legislation that strengthens families, promotes time-honored values, protects the dignity of life and marriage, lowers the tax burden on small businesses and families, and requires the government to tighten its belt and live within its means.

FAFC’s fundraising expense ratio has been high in recent years. With the sector median sitting at 8%, FAFC was far above: 24% in 2023 and 20% in 2024.

While total revenue has increased from $20.6 million in 2023 to $26.1 million in 2024, total expenses have also increased: $20.3 million in 2023 to $25.3 million in 2024.

FAFC has a D Transparency Grade—its Form 990 is public, but its audited financial statements are not posted on its website and it is not registered with the ECFA.
