Summary:

MOPS International (MOPS) began in 1981 by 8 moms, to encourage mothers of preschoolers.  MOPS encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, in relationship with Jesus, and in partnership with local churches.  MOPS desires to help moms in five areas: (1) parenting knowledge, (2) strong marriages, (3) emotional resilience, (4) healthy social networks, (5) spiritual support.  As of 2020, MOPS span 68 countries, with 4,319 groups, 86,579 members, with 7,880 proclaiming trusting faith in Jesus that year.  The aim of MOPS is to adapt to meet the various needs of moms, not to be content to just be spectators, but to discover and cultivate their gifts.
