Shelter For Life, an international ministry that provides long-term sustainable care in post-conflict areas, posted on June 22 saying all of its staff in Afghanistan are safe following a massive earthquake that shook the eastern part of the country. Now, the staff is on the ground, assessing damage to homes and meeting with homeowners and local community leaders, preparing to begin aid distribution and long-term assistance. Shelter For Life has three stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 95.

461 Response, an outreach of Assemblies of God Chaplaincy Ministries, trains and equips churches to respond to crisis events within their communities. One AG chaplain with 461 Response is ministering to grieving families and residents in Uvalde, Texas, following the mass shooting at an elementary school. Templo Cristiano, an AG church in Uvalde, is preparing boxes of food to deliver to individuals, plus therapy bears for children, and hosting a Grief Sharing training, including a puppet ministry for kids.

Mission Possible, a U.S.- and Canada-based ministry that operates schools and churches in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, educated more than 2,500 elementary and high school students in 2021 and served about 250,000 meals. Mission Possible also provides discipleship classes and leadership training, and operates a Bible Training Center and Vocational School. The ministry has two stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 90.

Mercy Chefs has surpassed a total of two million pounds of food and resources delivered to Ukrainians caught in the crossfire of the country’s war with Russia. The ministry, which provides chef-inspired meals to people in the wake of various disasters, secured a warehouse space on the Romanian side of the Ukrainian border, which it says has allowed them to develop a distribution network to deliver meals and supplies to those in need. Mercy Chefs has four stars and a “D” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 55.
