Focus on the Family hosted its Celebrate Life event in Dallas, Texas, this past weekend on August 28. A night of music, worship, and testimonies, the in-person pro-life event was the culmination of its SeeLife21 campaign that included a digital summer series of “inspiring conversations” to encourage supporters to “live as a pro-life friend, parents, and everyday hero.” The free videos cover topics like the biblical foundation for supporting life in the womb, the work of pregnancy care centers, the impact of ultrasounds on abortion-minded women, and challenges mothers face in choosing life.

Compelled to Care earned official nonprofit status in 2021 after five years of supporting foster failies. What started as a small group of 10 parents and 20 kids in Olympia, Washington, has since grown to more than 80 parents and 150 children, with an intent to expand into surrounding areas. Compelled to Care provides practical and emotional support to foster families through community, training, and care boxes. It also hosts an annual retreat for foster moms.

F.R.E.E. International hosted The BIG Search August 5-6 as a focused effort to search for missing and trafficked children in Orlando, Florida. Collaborating with local law enforcement, churches, and volunteers, the community event resulted in the recovery of 10 children. F.R.E.E. International is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, but hosts BIG search events in cities across the country.

Bob Fu of ChinaAid is preparing to speak at the second annual March for the Martyrs event Sept. 25 in Washington D.C. The nonprofit For the Martyrs works to raise awareness of Christian persecution, advocates for religious freedom, and provides aid to suffering Christians worldwide. ChinaAid does similar work focused specifically in China—donors recently gifted Sunday School In A Box kits to Chinese churches to distribute to local children.
