Reachway Church of the Nazarene in Peoria, Illinois, is using its church building to meet the unique needs of its surrounding neighborhoods, which has been neglected due to racial and socioeconomic issues. In partnership with a local nonprofit, the church has hosted a series of town hall sessions to educate attendees on the opioid crisis and homelessness. It then renovated part of its building to include a shower and kitchen for homeless people to use, and hosted a “Friendsgiving” in November for unsheltered in the community. (pictured)

Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) is planning 26 Children’s Ministries Institutes this year that it will conduct across 21 countries. The classes will train workers—from within CEF, but also from other missions organizations and churches—in sharing the Gospel effectively with children in their communities. Some of the training is online, but most is done in person. The training, accredited by some colleges, includes methods of child evangelism, ministry strategy, and leadership tools. CEF has 2 stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 80.

Since its inception in 2012, Abiding Fathers has launched 276 global sites in 18 countries and discipled almost 19,000 men. Abiding Fathers works in prison, the marketplace, and through forums, using its curriculum to teach men “to fulfill their roles as fathers and to promote the message of biblical fatherhood and male leadership within the family context.”
