Compassion partners with NFL punter Bradley Pinion, Mission Arlington serves record number of people for Thanksgiving, and more
Atlanta Falcons punter Bradley Pinion has teamed up with Compassion International to raise money to fund 500 child survival centers worldwide through his Punts for Purpose initiative. Every time one of Pinion’s punts falls within the 20-yard-line, $1,000 will be donated. Punters for 12 additional NFL teams have joined the initiative, and so far it has raised $2.2 million. Compassion International has 3 stars and an “A” transparency grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a donor confidence score of 91.
With the help of 4,668 volunteers, Mission Arlington provided Thanksgiving food to 6,953 families throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, representing 28,099 people. At the end of November, Olive Crest USA announced it has provided 406,709 counseling sessions to kids and parents. Olive Crest works to prevent child abuse by helping children holistically and restoring families in crisis. Reach the Rest shares the Gospel with unreached people groups by connecting with local Christian leaders nearby and equipping them to spread the Gospel and plant churches. Last year, Reach the Rest celebrated 653 unreached people groups introduced to the Gospel, more than 214,000 professions of faith, 22,562 new believers baptized, and 7,309 churches planted.
