Rob and his family were members at Mars Hill Church for five years where he was a deacon and volunteer community group pastor. He grew up in Southern Africa and lives in Seattle where he works on developing solutions to urban African problems through his companies, EarthWise Ventures and Thain Electric Boat Company, and is a Trustee at Bethel Baptist Church in Everett, WA.
