The nation’s largest Bible translation organization is selling its 272-acre headquarters for an undisclosed price.
The Orlando Business Journal (OBJ) first reported the listing. Wycliffe has selected a brokerage team from Orlando-based First Capital Property Group to market the property.
First Capital’s listing describes the property as a “unique headquarters campus in southeast Orlando.” It says the property “provides an unrivaled opportunity for a full campus user looking for their own headquarters within the metro area.”
The site contains an existing 167,782 square feet of Class ‘A’ office building and ancillary support facilities including an activity center, RV park, corporate lodging, visitor center, and clinic.
According to the Business Journal, “more than half the property – 188 acres – is considered wetlands, mitigation and park area and unable to be developed.” Still that leaves 38 acres that have been developed so far, with another 45 acres available for development.

Wycliffe Bible Translators President John Chesnut told OBJ that the campus was originally built about 20 years ago for a workforce of about 800 people, but only about 200 people work on the headquarters staff. Work from home trends and other factors cause the campus to be only about 15 percent utilized on most days.
Chestnut told the OBJ, “We’re well-positioned financially, so this isn’t a fire sale. We’re looking at it from a stewardship perspective, saying ‘we’re not utilizing this property.’”
