ONE YEAR AGO: On Jan. 18, 2023, MinistryWatch reported that former Southern Baptist Convention President Johnny Hunt returned to the pulpit on Jan. 15, eight months after allegations that he had sexually assaulted another pastor’s wife became public. Read more here.

TWO YEARS AGO: On Jan. 20, 2022, MinistryWatch reported that three members of the group overseeing the investigation into sexual abuse allegations in the Anglican Church in North America’s Upper Midwest Diocese resigned a few days earlier, saying the team “downplayed or ignored” abuse survivors’ needs. Read more here.
