Impact Productions, a multimedia entertainment ministry, saw a sharp jump in revenue in 2023, but its 2024 Form 990 shows the ministry has returned to its previous financial trend.
Revenue was $4.9 million in 2022, jumped to $9.85 million in 2023 and fell back to $5.5 million in 2024. According to its financial records, Impact spends nothing on fundraising, relying entirely on its ministry work to generate revenue.
Impact Productions is a nonprofit motion picture and television production company that aims to create innovative, faith-filled entertainment to reach a sight-and-sound generation with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The ministry primarily works with bestselling authors, artists, nonprofit organizations and renowned speakers to shape their messages for new platforms. Over the past 35 years, Impact has produced stage shows, stadium events, commercial campaigns and countless hours of film and television.
Natalie Kresge, a member of Impact Productions’ accounting team, responded to a MinistryWatch inquiry with insight into the revenue swing. “2023 was a unique year for us,” Kresge said. “We sold the office building we’d owned for nearly 30 years, which allowed us to retire longstanding debt. Despite the decline, Kresge said, “We’re grateful for what 2023 made possible: creating and distributing faith-based content in support of our founding vision to reach a sight & sound generation.”
