Ministries Fighting For Humankind’s “Right to Life” Commemorating Sanctity of Human Life Day

Share

Churches across the country this past weekend commemorated Sanctity of Human Life Day. They prayed for the protection of the unborn, held “baby bottle” fundraising drives, connected members with pro-life ministries, and encouraged fostering and adoption. Designated by Ronald Reagan in 1988, Sanctity of Human Life Day proclaims that the “right to life belongs equally to babies in the womb, babies born handicapped, and the elderly or infirm.”

“Our Nation cannot continue down the path of abortion, so radically at odds with our history, our heritage, and our concepts of justice,” Reagan declared. “This sacred legacy, and the well-being and the future of our country, demand that protection of the innocents must be guaranteed and that the personhood of the unborn be declared and defended throughout our land.”

This week in Ministries Making a Difference, we highlight the ministries—and the men and women who keep them running—with boots on the ground advocating for the right to thriving life, supporting orphans, and fighting for the hearts and minds of Americans.

Pro-Life Wisconsin wrapped up 2025 by launching a billboard campaign aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of abortion. The Abortion Injury Billboard Campaign plans to use the FDA warning label for the chemical abortion pill as a guide, highlighting side effects such as infections, bleeding, and infertility. The first billboard, located in Milwaukee directly across from an abortion center, asks “Experiencing Infertility after Your Abortion?” along with the website AbortionInjury.com.

Carry Them is a ministry offering free lactation and infant health services to babies and their mothers in Nigeria. Started by certified lactation consultant Mandolyn Crotts, the program has served nearly 900 babies and their families since 2020. Crotts says that in Nigeria—where poverty, malnutrition, and fear of Islamic militants are rampant—one in 12 babies don’t survive infancy and one in 22 women don’t survive childbirth.
