Ep. 93: Shake-Up At Liberty University & A Look At Anti-Human Trafficking Ministries

Share

On today’s program, we take a look at the cottage industry that has grown up to fight sex trafficking.  Anti-sex trafficking organizations raise more than $100-million a year in the US.  Where does all that money go?  Plus, Kanakuk Ministries demands that MinistryWatch retract three stories we wrote about them.  I’ll share our response at the end of the program.  We begin today with more shake-ups at Liberty University.

Two quick notes before we go.  You may have heard that Bernie Madoff died this week in a North Carolina prison.  I devoted nearly a chapter of my book “Faith Based Fraud” to Madoff, and we’re reprinted some of that material on our website.  It’s called “Mad About Madoff,” and that story also includes links to Amazon where you can buy the book itself.

And, finally, another book I wrote, or —  more accurately – co-wrote with Marvin Olasky, is “Prodigal Press:  Confronting the Anti-Christian Bias of the American News Media.”  That book is our gift to donors this month.  We’ll send it for a gift of any size.  Just go to MinistryWatch.com and hit the “Donate” button at the top of the page.

The producers for today’s program are Rich Roszel and Steve Gandy. We get database and other technical support from Cathy Goddard, Stephen DuBarry, and Casey Sudduth.  Writers who contributed to today’s program include Rod Pitzer, Jack Jenkins, Adelle Banks, Anne Stych, Shannon Cuthrell, Yonat Shimron, and Steve Rabey.

Thanks to our friends at Religion Unplugged for contributing material to this week’s program.

Until next time, may God bless you.
