At MinistryWatch, our mission is to help Christians become more faithful, generous, and effective stewards of the resources God has entrusted to them. It’s why we advocate for transparency, accountability, and efficiency in Christian ministries. Because of that, we cover a lot of stories we’d rather not have to — stories of waste, fraud, and abuse.

But that’s not the whole picture. This column exists to amplify ministries doing excellent work — to spotlight ministries making a difference in their own communities and around the world.

With Father’s Day approaching, this week’s Ministries Making a Difference turns to ministries that strengthen fathers, equip men, and reinforce family relationships that shape children for years to come. From national campaigns on biblical manhood to mentoring, parenting support, and practical help for dads in crisis, these ministries reflect different ways Christian organizations are calling fathers to be present, engaged, and faithful.

Promise Keepers

Promise Keepers hopes a new initiative will spark a broader cultural conversation about biblical fatherhood. They are using the Father’s Day season to launch a new national campaign called Make Dads Great Again. The ministry says fatherhood is in crisis and is calling men back to biblical manhood and engaged fatherhood.

Make Dads Great Again is raising $300,000 for the effort, which includes videos, fundraising, and new resources aimed at helping men return to God, reconnect with their families, and step more fully into roles as leaders, protectors, and providers. Promise Keepers’ mission is to equip men to live the Christian life “boldly and unashamedly,” producing better husbands, fathers, brothers, sons, and leaders through men’s groups, digital resources, and conferences.

Promise Keepers has a 3-Star Financial Efficiency Rating and a C Transparency Grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a Donor Confidence Score of 96 (Give with Confidence).

Trail Life USA

In 2025, Trail Life USA launched Fathers & Families to help men grow as fathers, spiritual leaders, and role models in their homes, churches, and communities. Fathers & Families wants to remind men of their identity and influence, especially as fathers, and equip them through teaching, tools, and biblical support. Its main programs are ManAlive!, a one-day in-person event for men 13 and older, and BeAlive!, a six-week online small-group program for adults that emphasizes relational and emotional growth.

Trail Life USA offers more than 20 free resources for churches and families, including webinars, eBooks, risk-assessment tools, and training materials, while also using adventure, service, and mentoring to help men guide boys toward godly manhood.

It has one of the strongest MinistryWatch profiles in the database: a 5-Star Financial Efficiency Rating, a 100 Donor Confidence Score, and an A transparency grade.

Life Network

Jared thought an unexpected pregnancy had disqualified him from ministry, but choosing to stay changed everything. Through Life Network’s support, prayer, and fatherhood coaching, he found grace, embraced fatherhood, and began to see his life not as falling apart, but as slowly coming back together again.

Life Network is bolstering the role fathers play in shaping families and pregnancy decisions. Its Men’s Services outreach supports dads through education and mentoring, helping them become involved, committed, and responsible fathers. Life Network’s Fatherhood Program pairs new dads with coaches. It offers God-honoring parenting instruction, pregnancy support, child development education, and practical help through “man bucks” redeemable for items like cribs and clothing.

Life Network currently mentors more than 70 dads each month to build healthier families by equipping fathers to be present and responsible from early pregnancy through their child’s second birthday.

Life Network has a 1-Star Financial Efficiency Rating and an A Transparency Grade in the MinistryWatch database, and a Donor Confidence Score of 80 (Give with Confidence).

The ministry reports that 95% of participating fathers say their relationships with their children improved, and 87% say they feel more confident in their parenting after completing F.I.T. Camp. STARRY also says family coaching is available to help dads and caregivers work together as a team.
