This week, Christian musician Sean Feucht and Pastor Rob McCoy are planning to start “The Courageous Christianity Tour” in memory of conservative leader and Christian Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated in Utah on September 10.

In a social media post, Feucht referred to Kirk as a “Christian martyr,” adding, “Together, we’ll experience powerful worship and celebrate bold faith in the public square while hearing how God is awakening hearts across our nation.”

The first seven tour dates are set starting October 16 in Los Angeles and wrapping up October 29. The tour includes four California locations, two Texas locations, and one in Boise, Idaho.

Feucht Controversy

Feucht has faced his own controversy. Earlier this year, former leaders associated with Feucht raised “serious moral, ethical, financial, organizational and governance failures” by Feucht and called for an independent investigation into possible fraud and embezzlement.

“Having witnessed firsthand what we have witnessed about Sean we can no longer encourage any financial contributions to him and his endeavors; we can no longer encourage anyone to work for him, paid or unpaid; and we can no longer encourage anyone to partner with him in any ministry capacity,” the statement says.

The allegations claim Feucht has a longstanding pattern of moral and ethical misconduct, including manipulation, exaggeration, control, lying, gaslighting, and spiritual and emotional abuse. Even though they claim he has been confronted about these issues over the years, it has resulted in very little meaningful change or repentance.

The signers also claim Feucht has misrepresented his ministry activities, which have allegedly included “ceaseless financial solicitation intermingled with his grandiose visions, which has led to untold financial gain and a steady stream of unpaid labor from volunteers.”

When others have attempted to raise concerns, they allegedly have been met with retaliation, threats of litigation, and exclusion from ministry events.

In the MinistryWatch database, Sean Feucht Ministries earns an “F” transparency grade and a donor confidence score of 19 out of 100, meaning donors should withhold giving. The ministry does not file a Form 990 with the Internal Revenue Service.

Rob McCoy

McCoy serves as pastor emeritus of Godspeak Calvary Chapel in Thousand Oaks, California. Having been referred to as Kirk’s family pastor, he gave opening remarks at Kirk’s memorial service in Glendale, Arizona.

At the recent Culture and Christianity Conference, McCoy said that Kirk, “in accordance with Rev. 6:11, is wearing the white robe of a martyr,” adding that he sees Kirk as the “Jim Elliott of our time.” Elliott was martyred in 1956 while seeking to reach the Auca Indians of Ecuador.

McCoy served as senior pastor of Godspeak Calvary Chapel before stepping down from the pulpit earlier this summer, and turning the senior pastor duties over to his son-in-law, Micah Stephens.

McCoy has often involved himself in political matters, serving as co-chair of the Turning Point USA Faith. In 2014, he ran for the California State Assembly.

McCoy served on the city council of Thousand Oaks from 2015 to 2020, but resigned during the COVID-19 pandemic when he continued services at Godspeak Calvary Chapel in defiance of state and county restrictions, insisting that church services were “essential.”

In his role at Turning Point USA, McCoy encouraged pastors to “effect meaningful change and lead our nation back to its core principles of faith, freedom, and unity.”

In encouraging church leaders to attend the TPUSA Faith Pastors Summit, McCoy wrote, “Do not underestimate your influence as a Pastor. We have been entrusted with a profound responsibility, one that has the power to lead our nation back to the path of unity and godliness.”

After President Donald Trump’s victory in November 2024, McCoy said, “God saved us. He gave us mercy. We didn’t deserve this.”
