A summary of the outreach through missionary radio is as follows:
BBI's Bible Teaching Radio Program Scripts have been written in easy to understand English, translated, and broadcast in over a score of languages. The target audience is new and untaught believers who desire a good foundation for their Christian faith. Often radio is the only place to get teaching since other means of Christian instruction are not available to them.
Radio HRGS
BBI's Regional Missionary Radio Station, Radio HRGS, serves the Bay Islands and the nearby coastal areas of Honduras, Guatemala, and Belize. Much spiritual fruit has come from this ministry in salvation and Christian growth. BBI missionaries in Roatan have weekly Bible classes as well as a "Kids’ Corner" in cooperation with local Baptist churches.
BBI Broadcasts
Bible Basics Broadcasts -- Spanish “Base Bíblica” and English “Bible Basics” broadcasts are produced in our Florida studios and aired on stations both overseas and in the States. “Base Bíblica” is currently heard on 90 stations in the Americas.

BBI-Mission India
BBI India -- The Director of BBI-India heads up a mission with over 300 Indian missionaries working in over 100 different locations throughout India to evangelize, disciple, and plant churches. Bible Basics is currently being aired in Hindi, Telugu, and Malayalam. Many listeners have written telling of trusting Christ as Savior. BBI's basic doctrine book has been given to several hundred pastors and Bible college graduates there. Recently it was also translated into the Punjabi language of northwest India.
BBI Publications
The basic doctrinal series by Eugene Priddy has been published in Spanish and English. Editorial Unilit of Miami is distributing the Spanish version to book stores in Latin America and the United States. A sister mission is publishing the book in Farsi, and parts are in Assamese. Translation into Malayalam is in progress. Other books include Christ and the Occult and Ephesians, Verse by Verse. Already in script form to be edited for publication is "Life and Teachings of Jesus Christ" and "New Testament Introduction."

Statement of Faith [ Back to top ]
Bible Basics International uses the following to express its Statement of Faith:
- THE BIBLE is verbally inspired by God, and inerrant in the original autographs. It is the only rule of faith and practice.
Authority of the Scriptures - We believe in the verbal-plenary inspiration of the Bible by God. In other words, inspiration extends down to the choice of its words. Its authority is absolute in all matters whereof it speaks. We believe that God's Word is complete and sufficient so that the man of God may be adequately prepared for all good works (2 Tim. 3:17). The Bible needs no further special revelation to complete it.
- GOD is eternal and triune: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- JESUS CHRIST is the unique Son of the Father, virgin born, sinless, died an atoning death, physically resurrected, ascended, exalted, presently High Priest, coming again literally and personally to establish the millennial kingdom.
Jesus Christ is God incarnate - God come in the flesh. He ascended to the right hand of the Father from whence He shall come again to judge the living and the dead. He is truly God and truly man.
- THE HOLY SPIRIT indwells every believer, and instructs, corrects, and guides them in the Christian life. He fills and empowers those yielded to Jesus Christ as Lord of their life.
The work of the Holy Spirit toward the unsaved - is to convict of sin, of righteousness and of judgment to come. He bears witness to Jesus Christ as the only sufficient atonement for sin: His person, His death, His burial, and His resurrection.
The work of the Holy Spirit toward believers - is to baptize them into Christ at the moment of salvation, and to indwell, instruct, correct, and guide them in the Christian life.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit - takes place at salvation and is not a second experience of grace.
Speaking in tongues - is not the evidence of being "baptized in the Holy Spirit."
Faith healing - We do not believe in faith healing in the sense that it is taught by the so-called faith healers. Properly understood, 1 Corinthians 12:9 does not leave room for "the gift of healing" because the Greek puts both "gifts" and "healing" in the plural: "gifts of healings." In other words, God does have the power and prerogative to heal whenever and whomever He chooses and often does so in response to prayer. However, He also chooses not to heal in specific cases for reasons that may be known only to Himself.
- MAN is sinful and eternally lost apart from personal faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ for salvation.
Eternal Security - We believe that one who has genuine faith in Jesus Christ as Savior is eternally secure in Him and cannot lose his salvation. At the same time, a believer cannot continue in sin without the chastisement of God (Hebrews 12:8).
Sanctification is (1) a standing: God sanctifies His people by setting them apart as His own possession "without spot or wrinkle" to stand before Him in holiness, and (2) a state: a progressive maturing in holiness of those who trust in Christ as they are being conformed to the image of Christ.
- THE CHURCH is the body of Christ that manifests itself locally through believers united for mutual edification and propagation of the Gospel while awaiting God's Son from heaven.
Church membership - Every born-again person should be a baptized member of a local church where he can grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, fellowship with those of like faith, and serve the cause of Christ on a consistent basis.
- THE RESURRECTION of the body will be physical: the saved unto everlasting fellowship with God and the unsaved unto everlasting punishment and separation from God.
Resurrection of the Just - Jesus is coming again literally, physically, and personally to receive His own unto Himself at which time there will be a resurrection of the just and a change of those who are living into glorified bodies.
Resurrection of the Unjust - Following the millennial kingdom there will be a resurrection and judgment of the unjust and subsequent eternal punishment in the lake of fire.
Note: Bullet paragraphs are incorporated in BBI's by-laws and must be signed annually by Board and staff.
Bible Basics was founded in 1973 by Eugene and Monna Dean Priddy, who along with their five children, were overseas missionaries with the world's largest radio mission. Eugene held different positions during their 16 years of service, including European Field Director, and Assistant to the President.
The first few years of the ministry were devoted to seminars, Bible conferences, and other types of Bible teaching ministry. God used these years to lay the groundwork for a support base that would serve as a firm foundation for the missionary work now in place. The years of experience in missionary administration, finance, and overseas service in a worldwide radio outreach was used of the Lord in the development of BBI. Beginning from almost nothing, working out of a basement office, BBI has grown steadily. Now, 25 years later, the mission has a wonderful outreach for the Gospel.

This organization has not offered MinistryWatch.com with an official statement or response for their profile. This area is meant as a mechanism for the profiled ministry to communicate anything they may choose. It is open ended as to the topic, issues, facts or news to address. It is not negative if there is no official statement as many don’t have anything to add than what is already on the profile. This section is not tied to transparency or to communication in general. Many very open and talkative ministries with us choose not to post an official statement. This section is just an open ended offering to the profiled ministry for anything extra to say as they may choose.
